Killaloan made the most of a good opportunity to get off the mark at Taunton last month on his third start over hurdles, and he stepped up on that effort to make a successful handicap debut at the same venue ten days ago. Killaloan asserted close home to score by a length, and it's worth nothing that the unexposed runner-up, who was also making his handicap debut, pulled 17 lengths clear of the third. A 7 lb rise for that victory looks fair, particularly with further improvement on the cards and with the Paul Nicholls yard in such good form, and he can complete the hat-trick.

Trac is in excellent order at present and made it three wins from his last four starts when producing his best effort yet for this yard here last month. Trac landed that 21-furlong novice handicap in authoritative fashion, drawing five lengths clear, and he still looks well treated after a 7 lb rise in the weights, with his form in France from a couple of seasons ago suggesting there could be a bit better to come. He drops back in trip to an extended 19 furlongs here but that won't be an issue as he has scored over similar trips at Wetherby and Catterick this season.
