Tuddenham Mill is bred to be useful and showed plenty of ability when a close third on debut last Windsor three weeks ago, holding every chance inside the final furlong where he was carried left near the finish. He seems sure to progress now and he looks the one to beat with the excellent Benoit de la Sayette taking off an invaluable 5 lb.

Fergie Time showed the benefit of a gelding operation when opening his account at Musselburgh last month and he has shaped well in defeat since, particularly when beaten a short head at Hamilton last week. He was an unlucky loser on that occasion, badly hampered and forced to switch in the final furlong, and only just failing to get up on the line. He looks well treated from the same mark now and this track should suit him well.
