First Folio made a successful handicap debut over this course and distance in 2021 on his first start after joining James Ferguson and he underlined his effectiveness here when landing this contest 12 months ago. He's not won since then but his mark has fallen as a result and he is now 4 lb lower in the weights. He took a step back in the right direction when third at Thirsk last time and will be a big player if building on that.

Kermiya failed to make much of an impact in three starts in maidens but she has fared much better since going handicapping, shaping well when placed at Navan and at Galway. She looked unlucky not to get off the mark when beaten only a head at Galway last time as she was short of room inside the final furlong but finished well and was only narrowly denied. She still looks well treated after edging up only 2 lb for that promising effort and she remains open to further improvement after only a couple of starts in handicaps.
