Cedar Hill has compiled a superb record over this course and distance, registering four wins, two seconds and a third from seven outings, so there can be no doubt about his effectiveness around here. Cedar Hill was also successful at Musselburgh last season and he looks well treated off just a 1 lb higher mark. He arrives here on the back of an encouraging third on his reappearance at Ayr in October.

Banbridge fared well over hurdles last season, most notably winning the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, but he has quickly made up into an even better chaser and has won both starts over fences in impressive style. Banbridge landed a two-and-a-half mile beginners' chase at Gowran Park with plenty in hand and then produced a very smart performance to comfortably win a Grade 2 over two miles at Cheltenham. That performance provides him with good claims on form and there should be even more to come from this progressive type.
