Escapeandevade made the most of a good opportunity to get off the mark over fences at the second attempt at Ayr last month, drawing clear approaching three out and ultimately winning hard held by 15 lengths. This will be tougher following a 7 lb rise in the weights, but he remains with potential after just two starts in this sphere and it looks a good opportunity for him to follow up in another small-field contest which he should be able to dominate from the front.

Ozzie Man looked unsuited by the drop back in trip when filling the runner-up spot at Huntingdon last week, doing his best work late on having raced lazily and made a few mistakes. Beaten just half a length at the line, he is clearly on a competitive mark and deserves another chance to resume his progress over this longer trip for Gary Moore, who has an impressive 21% strike rate at Fontwell in recent years. The application of a first-time visor might also help him to iron out his jumping issues.
