Mr Orange - 14:00 Thirsk
✔ UK Flat racing
✔ Horse was a beaten favourite last-time-out
✔ Horse has previously won over today's course and distance
✔ Horse is top on weight-adjusted ratings
Mr Orange has looked a bit more like his old self on his last two starts at Pontefract, finishing a solid third last time even if he failed to meet market expectations. He won over this course and distance earlier in his career and one of his best efforts this season came when finishing fourth (beaten only two lengths) back here in May. A repeat of that form will give him every chance at this lowly level, particularly with William Pyle, who is decent value for his 5-lb claim, taking over in the saddle.
Glory And Honour - 16:35 Thirsk
✔ UK Flat racing
✔ Horse was a winner last-time-out
✔ Horse is open to improvement
✔ Trainer is in form
A fairly useful handicap hurdler when trained by Tom Lacey, Glory And Honour was well on top at the finish when gaining a first victory on the Flat at Catterick on Tuesday, doing his best work late on to win by a length and a half. He lines up here under just a 5 lb penalty and it goes without saying that he is potentially well treated if arriving in the same sort of form after just three days off. Incidentally, he holds another entry at Redcar on Saturday and could be the type to run up a sequence for the David O'Meara yard which continues on a roll (72% of horses running to form).
