Mucky Mulconry didn't progress as expected for Ger Lyons in Ireland last year but he very much caught the eye on his first start for these connections at Wolverhampton earlier this month and he is a horse to be interested in. He was very easy to back - started at 80/1 - and wasn't given a hard time, racing off the pace and leaving the impression he wasn't suited by the five-furlong trip. A step up to six will be in his favour and he is up to winning races from this basement mark.

Vee Dancer completed a hat-trick over hurdles at up to 25f in December 2021 and he was suited by the step up to two miles when opening his account on the Flat over course and distance last month, beating the reopposing Mephisto by three quarters of a length. He made all of the running, kicking on entering the straight and finding plenty when tackled in the final furlong. Vee Dancer may be capable of better still and could be up to racking up another sequence.
