Colors of Freedom has improved significantly since entering handicaps, winning all three of her starts in this sphere, and judging by her latest success at Southwell her run may not be finished yet. She settled nicely in midfield before making headway just after halfway and picked up nicely in the closing stages to go clear, edging left close home but well on top at the finish. Colors of Freedom runs under a 6 lb penalty now and will be hard to stop if turning up in similar form.

Morandi Second had some fair form in the Flat when trained in France and was well supported on his hurdling debut for these connections at Market Rasen last month. He shaped encouragingly in second, leaving the impression that he would take a great deal away for the experience, his jumping novicey at times and he was once again let down by that aspect of his game at Wetherby last time. Morandi Second has the potential for better still now handicapping and he is of big interesting given his weight-for-age allowance.
