is thriving on racing and produced the best performance of her career, less than 2 weeks after landing her first Group 1, well drawn to track the pace, but coping well with the drop to 5f on a course where she was so impressive earlier in the campaign; tracked pace, travelled well, shaken up over 1f out, quickened to lead inside final 1f, went clear, impressive; she has numerous options for the rest of the campaign, the Abbaye and Breeders' Cup among them, of interest wherever she goes.

progressed again, rewarding connections' ambitious approach, supplemented for this, rather than running in the listed 2-y-o event, her speed again a great asset, the Abbaye an option next, every chance of making an impact granted another good draw; led, shaken up under 2f out, hung left 1f out, headed inside final 1f, left behind by winner; will continue to give good account.

ran his best race of the year, placed in this for the second year running and setting him up nicely for a repeat bid in the Sprint Cup at Haydock next month, though like the first 2 he was probably on the favoured part of the track; held up, shaken up 2f out, kept on well inside final 1f, took third close home.

probably remains in form, confirming placings with all those he beat in the King George at Goodwood, competitive for a long way but probably racing on a less advantageous part of the track; close up, travelled well, ridden under 2f out, not quicken inside final 1f; he's building a more consistent profile at present.

had finished third in this last year and ran respectably again, though probably at an advantage in terms of track position, following the other high-drawn runners up the centre; in rear, shaken up 2f out, not quicken, stayed on inside final 1f, nearest at the finish.

had looked so exciting in winning in listed company here last time, but that form lacked substance and she wasn't able to match it, though she had excuses, away from the action from the lowest draw, signs of inexperience still there as well; waited with, travelled well, shaken up 2f out, one paced; may yet prove to be as good as she looked last time.

One of the 2 Group 1 5f races run in Britain, surprisingly just 3 of the 16 that contested the King's Stand in this field, the winner Nature Strip back home, absent along with the 6f Group 1 winners Naval Crown and Alcohol Free, this essentially a domestic field, the market dominated by females, a filly unbeaten in 3 starts, the most recent of them at listed level, sent off favourite, ahead of a 2-y-o who'd won a valuable conditions race and a recent Group 1 winner, the latter pair dominating the finish, the form perhaps not quite so good as it looks, high draws dominating with the runner-up leading the winner, third and fifth slightly away, until she hung late on, from the main body of the field, the runners staying centre to far side, in contrast to the preceding Gimcrack.

HIGHFIELD PRINCESS (FR) is thriving on racing and produced the best performance of her career, less than 2 weeks after landing her first Group 1, well drawn to track the pace, but coping well with the drop to 5f on a course where she was so impressive earlier in the campaign; tracked pace, travelled well, shaken up over 1f out, quickened to lead inside final 1f, went clear, impressive; she has numerous options for the rest of the campaign, the Abbaye and Breeders' Cup among them, of interest wherever she goes.
