in first-time cheekpieces, got back on the up away from the top tracks (also taking on older horses for the first time), underfoot conditions much more suitable and a change of tactics arguably benefiting him, too; dwelt, soon led, shaken up 3f out, stayed on, always holding on; it wouldn't be the greatest surprise if he was capable of taking his form higher again in similar company.

ran up to her best once more, proving her effectiveness at this trip at the first attempt, and really is a splendid mare so far as her reliability and versatility are concerned; chased leader, took keen hold, shaken up under 3f out, stayed on.

All 6 ran.

Winning Owner: Tim Bunting - Osborne House IV

Time: 3m 1.8s Closing Sectional: (4.00f): 46.90s (110.1%)

A useful handicap won by the sole 3-y-o taking a drop in grade, the pace he dictated nothing special and those held up at some sort of disadvantage.
