improved further and completed his hat-trick, well positioned the way things developed, but again displaying a most likeable attitude under pressure; close up, produced to lead approaching final 1f, battled well; a smart performer in the making, he's open to further improvement, particularly with longer trips still to be explored (will stay at least 1¼m).

upped in trip, got back on the up, albeit in a race in which he was seen to something like maximum effect at the head of affairs; led, ridden approaching 2f out, headway approaching final 1f, ran on, very much had the run of the race.

All 6 ran.

Winning Owner: Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum

Time: 1m 53s Closing Sectional: (4.00f): 45.10s (110.1%)

A competitive handicap that was fought out by a pair of improving 3-y-o colts, with Kaanoon showing a fine attitude to get the better of the front-running runner-up in a race in which none of the others got seriously involved off the steady pace.

KAANOON improved further and completed his hat-trick, well positioned the way things developed, but again displaying a most likeable attitude under pressure; close up, produced to lead approaching final 1f, battled well; a smart performer in the making, he's open to further improvement, particularly with longer trips still to be explored (will stay at least 1¼m).

THE EMPEROR WITHIN (FR) upped in trip, got back on the up, albeit in a race in which he was seen to something like maximum effect at the head of affairs; led, ridden approaching 2f out, headway approaching final 1f, ran on, very much had the run of the race.

VALCARTIER (IRE) ran respectably in first-time blinkers; in touch, ridden approaching 2f out, one paced.

NONIOS (IRE) back on turf, remains in good form; slowly into stride, held up, travelled well, headway over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, one paced, not ideally placed.

NOBLE PEACE back up in trip, got back on track without necessarily shaping like a winner in waiting after 9 weeks off; chased leaders, effort approaching 2f out, not quicken.

BINT DANDY (IRE) wasn't disgraced; waited with, ridden 2f out, not quicken.
