looks a natural on this surface and showed much improved form on handicap debut to follow up C&D win earlier in the month; forced pace, travelled well, shaken up over 2f out, kept going well; decidedly useful now and could have more to offer this winter, it well worth striking while the iron is hot given the doubts about his effectiveness on turf.

stepped up on run at Kempton 6 weeks earlier, posting a career-best effort and beaten only by another unexposed, progressive type; prominent, ridden home turn, stuck to task; had no problem with this slightly longer trip, if anything leaving the impression he'll get further still, and he's one to be interested in provided he can get a clear run at his racing.

back under fully-fledged rider who gets on well with him, wasn't disgraced from a dropping mark, but this looks his level these days; raced off the pace, progress on inner over 2f out, steady headway straight, never getting to front pair.

shaped as if still in good form, only giving way late on as the combination of this trip and end-to-end gallop stretched his stamina; mid-field, went prominent halfway, every chance over 1f out, no extra final 100 yds.

Strong form for the level/time of year, the winner coming in for a no-nonsense ride from the front and always doing enough to hold off another progressive 4-y-o.

DESTRUCTIVE (USA) looks a natural on this surface and showed much improved form on handicap debut to follow up C&D win earlier in the month; forced pace, travelled well, shaken up over 2f out, kept going well; decidedly useful now and could have more to offer this winter, it well worth striking while the iron is hot given the doubts about his effectiveness on turf.
