confirmed the promise of last run despite giving away in the region of 10 lengths at the start, Hayley Turner (on board for the first time) deserving a lot of credit for not panicking after that; very slowly away, raced well off the pace and given plenty of time to recover, steady headway from over 2f out, challenged inside final 1f, stayed on to lead near line, even winning a shade cosily in the end; he's got a bigger performance in the locker, but his issues at the start mean he needs treating with a bit of caution.

who attracted support, has been holding his form admirably well and ran his best race for some time, no hesitation on his part in going to the front - even with his customary high head carriage - only to be nailed at the death by one coming from miles back; tracked pace, forced bit wide under 3f out, headway to lead inside final 1f, collared near line.

ran creditably back in a handicap, though might be close to his ceiling now; soon steadied, effort over 2f out, had to pick way through soon after, kept on without finishing as well as one or 2.

last seen over hurdles for John Halley, probably needed the run after 12 months off in first-time cheekpieces and tongue strap (on Flat); mid-division, not settle fully, rapid headway to press leader halfway, dropped away 2f out; next run should reveal more.
