had been seen to maximum effect at Leicester and was probably just undone by the rise in the weights, not disgraced from a ratings perspective; chased leader, one paced and carrying head a bit high when briefly short of room final 1f; he'll be hard to place in the short term.

A useful handicap but one lacking well-treated sorts, the winner the possible exception, having enough in hand to overcome the run of the race.

MONDAMMEJ wasted no time getting back on the up recording a third win in 5 starts and seemingly a reformed character these days as he again did absolutely nothing wrong when it came to the crunch, doing well to win in fact after conceding first run; dwelt, in touch, stayed on to lead dying strides.

NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND is suited to all-weather and again ran well, albeit in a race that showed him to good effect; close up, upsides 2f out, edged ahead final 1f, headed dying strides, well positioned.

CAROLINE DALE proved at least as good as ever, though was helped by the run of the race; led, pushed along around 2f out, joined soon after, headed final 1f, kept on.

BLUE DE VEGA (GER) had been seen to maximum effect at Leicester and was probably just undone by the rise in the weights, not disgraced from a ratings perspective; chased leader, one paced and carrying head a bit high when briefly short of room final 1f; he'll be hard to place in the short term.

ROYAL BIRTH didn't arrive in peak form but is best not judged on this run back at his optimum trip; in touch, clipped heels and stumbled halfway, not recover.

MOKAATIL can have a line put through this run; chased leaders, struck into halfway and eased off.
