is on a career-low mark and wasted no time getting back to form on all-weather, not seen to best effect in a steadily-run race; slowly into stride, raced off the pace, pushed along under 3f out, still plenty to do entering straight, headway over 1f out, keeping on when short of room briefly close home; he needs the cards to drop right but looks ready to win.

came into this with an unblemished record over C&D but was too lit up to add to his tally, though doing enough to suggest he probably remains in form; prominent, raced freely, shaken up under 2f out, weakened final 1f.

on first outing since leaving Luke McJannet after 6 weeks off, didn't have much chance from his position; slowly into stride, held up, not settle fully, never on terms; he's well treated on his form from last year and was gambled on starrting out for a very capable new yard here.

An ordinary handicap, the first pair both returning to form from out of the blue, reflected by their SP's; the pace was slow and a prominent pitch was a clear advantage.
