isn't the most consistent, but he was an unlucky not to go very close over this C&D in early December, and though he'd had a couple of disappointments since, the fitting of a visor did the trick as he resumed winning ways; prominent, ridden over 2f out, challenged early in straight, edged ahead close home; he's still relatively lightly raced.

has gone well fresh in the past and after after 7 months off, this shows he retains the vast majority of his ability, taking a bit of a drop in class considering he was last seen in the Great St Wilfrid and Stewards' Cup; prominent, pushed along over 2f out, every chance inside final 1f, no extra late on, had the run of the race.

is now on a career-low mark and shaped as if he's returned from 4 months off in decent heart; held up, travelled well, shaken up home turn, had to weave way through, nearest at the finish, not ideally placed; he's hard to win with however, so it remains to be seen if he builds on this.

A useful handicap, but it wasn't truly-run for a sprint, with those that raced close up or in mid-field at an advantage, and it's some of the fast-finishers that are worth marking up, acknowledging that some of them are hard to win with.

KING ROBERT isn't the most consistent, but he was an unlucky not to go very close over this C&D in early December, and though he'd had a couple of disappointments since, the fitting of a visor did the trick as he resumed winning ways; prominent, ridden over 2f out, challenged early in straight, edged ahead close home; he's still relatively lightly raced.
