has come to all-weather rather late in life, this just his second start on the surface following his reappearance, but it evidently suits, this win suggesting he's pretty much as good as ever despite being a 7-y-o now; close up, pushed along 2f out, led inside final 1f, kept up to work.

whose win last time is proving strong, the second and fourth both successful since and though he was below form, he's best not judged on this run, having to do plenty of running in the early stages to get across from his wide draw; broke well and soon led, headed inside final 1f, weakened; this was his first time at the minimum trip and he showed enough speed to suggest he should be effective at it.

was back on tapeta and shaped as if back in form, is certainly better than he was able to show here; held up, forced wide home turn, ran on late, left poorly placed; he remains one to be interested in, the feeling that there's a bigger effort in him at some point.

didn't have the chance the market suggested, sent off favourite despite being a 6-y-o off a career-high mark but he's better judged on his reappearance effort than this having not been seen to best effect; mid-field, hampered after 2f, pushed along over 2f out, not quicken.

All 11 ran.

Winning Owner: Mr Laurence O'Kane & Paul Murphy

Time: 59.89s Closing Sectional: (2.00f): 22.65s (103.9%)

A very useful field, as you'd expect for the money on offer, and though they seemed to go a good enough gallop, it proved difficult for those in behind to get involved, neither of the first 2 ever far behind the pace setter, and the fifth shaped well with that borne in mind.

ROBOT BOY (IRE) has come to all-weather rather late in life, this just his second start on the surface following his reappearance, but it evidently suits, this win suggesting he's pretty much as good as ever despite being a 7-y-o now; close up, pushed along 2f out, led inside final 1f, kept up to work.

BOWSON FRED is a previous C&D winner and returned to something like his best, albeit better placed than most; chased leader, every chance over 1f out, kept on.

JORDAN SPORT whose win last time is proving strong, the second and fourth both successful since and though he was below form, he's best not judged on this run, having to do plenty of running in the early stages to get across from his wide draw; broke well and soon led, headed inside final 1f, weakened; this was his first time at the minimum trip and he showed enough speed to suggest he should be effective at it.
