had beaten a couple of these over C&D last time - including the winner - and gave his all after being caught wide from a high draw, yet to be out of the places in 3 starts here; mid-field, headway under pressure over 2f out, every chance approaching final 1f, not quicken last ½f.

back up in trip, remains in much better heart than recent form figures suggest, though it was concerning that she reverted to blowing the start; in rear, pushed along halfway, came wide over 2f out, headway when hung left approaching final 1f and ended up well away from main pack, never on terms.

had won his previous start here over C&D but hasn't been in the same form since, the fitting of cheekpieces doing little to spark a revival; led after 1f, headed 2f out, weakened gradually; goes very well fresh and that's possibly the time to catch him.

This probably wasn't as competitive as some of the recent finals of this event have been, but the first 2 nevertheless produced career bests, a last-time-out winner completing the places and it should still prove solid form; Seraphim Angel was withdrawn at the start on veterinary advice.

CHIEF MANKATO goes very well at this track and produced a career best, overturning form from last time with both the third and fifth, again conceding ground at the start but that continuing to not hold him back; dwelt, patiently ridden, shaken up over 2f out, good headway out wide over 1f out, led final 100 yds, pushed out.

WOOLHAMPTON (IRE) back up in trip, remains in much better heart than recent form figures suggest, though it was concerning that she reverted to blowing the start; in rear, pushed along halfway, came wide over 2f out, headway when hung left approaching final 1f and ended up well away from main pack, never on terms.

EXISTENT turned out again quickly, didn't get home making an extremely rare start at 6f; bumped start, handy, driven over 2f out, no extra final 1f.

BISHOP'S CROWN claimer ridden, found this too competitive; raced off the pace, not settle fully, pushed along under 3f out, merely closed up late; type to bounce back quickly when his sights are lowered.
