wasted no time getting back to form, in much calmer waters, seen to advantage with a change of tactics; held up, headway 2f out, led inside final 1f, kept on, had bit in hand; he'll find things tough back in the top handicaps and it may be a listed race here or abroad offers his best option.

All 6 ran.

Winning Owner: Eden Racing III

Time: 1m 12.81s Closing Sectional: (3.38f): 39.70s (102.5%)

A handicap offering a fair bit of quality but a lack of numbers, this race regularly attracting twice as many, and it's hard to imagine the winner has shown significant improvement in a weaker race than the one he won at Newbury, for all that he was well served by a change of tactics in a strongly-run race.

ICE AGE (IRE) wasted no time getting back to form, in much calmer waters, seen to advantage with a change of tactics; held up, headway 2f out, led inside final 1f, kept on, had bit in hand; he'll find things tough back in the top handicaps and it may be a listed race here or abroad offers his best option.

MAAKAASIB after 10 weeks off, ran comfortably his best race on turf, raced mainly on synthetics, perhaps at a disadvantage in making his effort earlier than the winner; chased leaders, ridden 2f out, led soon after, headed inside final 1f, kept on.

TUPI (IRE) wasn't disgraced in a much lesser handicap than last time, working his way back to form; soon steadied, headway over 2f out, challenged over 1f out, not quicken final 1f.

DOUBLE UP was back in a visor, but failed to match even the form he showed last time, perhaps overdoing things in pressing the pace; pressed leader, ridden under 2f out, no extra final 1f.

GRACIOUS JOHN (IRE) was below form, somewhat surprisingly making the running and ending up doing too much; led until under 2f out, no extra final 1f.

HUMAN NATURE (IRE) had been off 11 weeks since showing signs of a revival at Newmarket and it was back to square one; chased leaders, weakened 2f out.
