after 6 months off, was much improved from debut, showing plenty of speed; made all, ridden over 1f out, held on gamely; she's seemed clued up on both her starts but she may have more to offer.

well backed, is thoroughly exposed and ran up to his best, just edged out by one who'd had far fewer goes; in touch, effort over 2f out, chased leader final 1f, kept on well, just failed.

All 7 ran.

Winning Owner: Mr Malih L. Al Basti

Time: 1m 0.78s Closing Sectional: (3.38f): 38.40s (104.9%)

A predictably weak race, made more so by the form pick needing the run, a gamble on the runner-up thwarted by one much less exposed.

DUBAI SILK after 6 months off, was much improved from debut, showing plenty of speed; made all, ridden over 1f out, held on gamely; she's seemed clued up on both her starts but she may have more to offer.

KIMIFIVE (IRE) well backed, is thoroughly exposed and ran up to his best, just edged out by one who'd had far fewer goes; in touch, effort over 2f out, chased leader final 1f, kept on well, just failed.

HOW FAR (IRE) reproduced previous effort, back down in trip and on turf debut; in touch, took keen hold, effort 2f out, challenged 1f out, one paced; she lacks scope and may not have much more to offer.

AL ASEF easy to back, shaped as if needing the run in first-time hood after 6 months off, ending up a long way below form though; chased leaders, not quicken over 1f out.

WEDGEWOOD WONDER was well held after 12 months off, yet to be remotely competitive; close up, weakened under 2f out.

ETERNAL DESTINY (16,000F: by Poet's Voice: second foal: half-sister to 15.5f-17f winner Chilperic (by Medicean): dam 7f winner out of useful winner up to 5.5f (including at 2 yrs) Maybe Forever) is hardly bred for 5f and there was predictably little to encourage in her debut; slowly into stride, held up, labouring over 2f out.

SKIP TO MY LOU delayed the start by spreading a plate and delayed the finish as well, so far displaying minimal ability; in touch, not settle fully, weakened before halfway, soon well tailed off.
