continued his good run of form, better positioned than the runner-up but still scoring with authority in gaining a second win over that rival in his last 3 starts; pressed leader, led 2f out, kept on well final 1f, pushed out; will continue to run well, though will need to go up in grade after this.

was well backed to turn the tables on the winner and ran well after 7 weeks off, allowing the winner first run; soon steadied, travelled well, effort over 1f out, kept on, made little impression; he's handled softish ground perfectly well on his last 2 starts, though has the reputation of being likely to benefit from racing on firmer going.

making handicap debut, shaped as if needing run after 8 months off; chased leader, not settle fully, weakened over 1f out; form of his maiden win at Kempton worked out well and looks on a fair mark, so could well be of interest at this level with this run behind him.

A relatively small field, but form that looks solid, with the first 2 repeating the outcome of their clash at Lingfield early last month, the third in form too and the fourth unexposed.
