has really clicked for the fitting of blinkers and was better than ever to make it 2 C&D wins in a row; raced wide, in touch, travelled well, challenged 3 out, asserted before last, driven out; he'll stay long distances and is capable of improving again.

failed to build on the promise of last run, not ideally placed but hardly going with much zest, his record of 1 career win suggesting he may not want too many excuses made for him; raced wide, held up, went in snatches, outpaced 4 out, made no impression.

a fairly useful chase winner in France, ran below that level on first outing since leaving Francois Nicolle after 9 weeks off, this having the air of a fact-finding mission (easy to back) over a trip he's never tried before, still showing enough to think there's something there to work with; held up, some headway after 5 out, soon beaten.

Three in-form ones came to the fore to give this useful handicap a solid look; the ones that ever looked like winning all raced prominently.

WORTHY FARM (IRE) has really clicked for the fitting of blinkers and was better than ever to make it 2 C&D wins in a row; raced wide, in touch, travelled well, challenged 3 out, asserted before last, driven out; he'll stay long distances and is capable of improving again.

THE KINGS WRIT (IRE) ran another cracker, doing everything right and just bumping into one with fewer miles on the clock; helped force pace, jumped well, went on circuit out, ridden when joined 3 out, headed before last, kept on.

MOVING IN STYLE (IRE) remains in good form and did best of those held up; patiently ridden, headway under pressure after 5 out, took third before last, kept on, never a threat.

COMMODORE (FR) wasted no time getting back to form, looking the main threat to the first 2 for a long way; helped force pace, every chance when ridden before 3 out, one paced.

DARLAC (FR) failed to build on the promise of last run, not ideally placed but hardly going with much zest, his record of 1 career win suggesting he may not want too many excuses made for him; raced wide, held up, went in snatches, outpaced 4 out, made no impression.

REIKERS ISLAND (IRE) was below form after 10 weeks off, making 2 mistakes of note; in touch, not fluent seventh, blundered fifteenth, pushed along next, weakened after 3 out.

ELAN DE BALME (FR) a fairly useful chase winner in France, ran below that level on first outing since leaving Francois Nicolle after 9 weeks off, this having the air of a fact-finding mission (easy to back) over a trip he's never tried before, still showing enough to think there's something there to work with; held up, some headway after 5 out, soon beaten.

CONINGSBY last seen in the void race at Sandown in early-December, was below form; chased leaders, weakened after 4 out.

WANDRIN STAR (IRE) was below form after 8 weeks off; in touch, lost place fourteenth, well held 5 out.

ONE OF US ran poorly after 10 weeks off and maybe needs out-and-out marathons nowadays; made most until early final circuit, lost place fourteenth, soon beaten.

POP ROCKSTAR (IRE) ran poorly; always behind.

CYCLOP (IRE) ran poorly, not that he's ever been up to winning competitive 0-140s even in his pomp; in rear, went in snatches, first beaten.
