did a tad more than merely make the most of a good opportunity, confirming he's been brought back to the boil to some tune, still only a 6-y-o and therefore poised to make up further for the lost time of a light 2017/18 campaign; chased leader, led approaching 2 out, threatened briefly last, asserted final 100 yds, won cosily at expense of admittedly half-hearted sort.

continues to hold up well to a busy schedule, though he didn't want it as much as the winner in a race that required resolution in the dash for home; patiently ridden, took keen hold, took closer order before 4 out, shaken up between last 2, closed down leader last, edged left run-in, worried out of it.

proved a bit of a let-down, at least against the backdrop of getting a soft lead in a small field (change of tactics); dictated, not always fluent, headed between 3 out and 2 out, not quicken, no match for principals; his surprise chasing debut success hasn't worked out.

A straightforward race to assess, finishing as they did in market order; the outsider of the trio ensured it wasn't run at a total dawdle but, predictably, it still tested speed far more than stamina as they sprinted from 3 out.

CAPELAND (FR) did a tad more than merely make the most of a good opportunity, confirming he's been brought back to the boil to some tune, still only a 6-y-o and therefore poised to make up further for the lost time of a light 2017/18 campaign; chased leader, led approaching 2 out, threatened briefly last, asserted final 100 yds, won cosily at expense of admittedly half-hearted sort.
