LORD OF KERAK whose stable is going really well, left chasing debut form behind 10 weeks on, bumping into a progressive one and the result not yet decided when he got the second last wrong; chased leader, every chance entering straight, still finding when mistake 2 out, kept on but held after that; open to further improvement.

FIRST LORD DE CUET (FR) easy to back, turned in a lacklustre display, entirely possible he wasn't fully over his Haydock effort; led, not fluent fifth, untidy eleventh, joined next, brushed aside entering straight, held when hit 4 out.

INISHBIGGLE (IRE) was somewhat surprisingly starting out over fences over 3m after more than a year on the sidelines, and seemed to find a combination of the trip and absence all too much after he'd warmed to his task jumping-wise; held up, mistake third, again next, in touch eleventh, faltered entering straight, pulled up 4 out.

ALFA MIX without the headgear this time, ran no sort of race on first outing since leaving Gavin Patrick Cromwell after 12 weeks off; soon steadied, slow second, reminders after tenth, behind when pulled up 5 out.
