back down to last winning mark, has run himself into form and got off the mark for the season with nothing to spare; helped force pace, kicked on early in straight, all out to hold on; he still has a tendency to jump right but he's done little wrong in that department so far this season.

is in top form at present and, with a bit more luck, could have been 3-3 for the season; held up, travelled well, steady headway approaching 4 out, chased leader approaching 2 out, kept on well, just failed.

wasn't disgraced, but his finishing effort was nowhere near so strong as when winning here the previous month; held up, smooth headway entering straight, shaken up after 3 out, found less than looked likely.

was badly let down by his jumping, that he was threatening to reach the places when finished off by a final mistake at the second last surely proof that he's on a good mark if and when he puts it all together jumping-wise; in rear, not jump well, struggling badly ninth (looked more likely to tail off than be involved in the finish at that stage), headway under pressure approaching 4 out, keeping on in a share of fourth when blundered 2 out, no further impression.

Hard to think this is especially strong form by 0-140 standards, the one unexposed runner badly let down by his jumping, but it was run at a sound gallop and the winner had dropped back down to a handy mark.

JOKE DANCER back down to last winning mark, has run himself into form and got off the mark for the season with nothing to spare; helped force pace, kicked on early in straight, all out to hold on; he still has a tendency to jump right but he's done little wrong in that department so far this season.

BALLYVIC BORU (IRE) wasn't disgraced, but his finishing effort was nowhere near so strong as when winning here the previous month; held up, smooth headway entering straight, shaken up after 3 out, found less than looked likely.

SMARTY WILD was badly let down by his jumping, that he was threatening to reach the places when finished off by a final mistake at the second last surely proof that he's on a good mark if and when he puts it all together jumping-wise; in rear, not jump well, struggling badly ninth (looked more likely to tail off than be involved in the finish at that stage), headway under pressure approaching 4 out, keeping on in a share of fourth when blundered 2 out, no further impression.

SO EASY WAY (IRE) as on British debut, did nothing to suggest he's capable of winning from this sort of mark; helped force pace, hit first, ridden home turn, weakened 4 out.

AZZURI again ran poorly; chased leaders, pushed along after eighth, dropped away from next.
