lacked nothing in sharpness after more than a year off and proved better than ever as he added a second big staying prize to his portfolio, as at Chepstow completing the task with aplomb; in touch, jumped well, travelled well, jumped on 2 out, in command final 1f, driven out; he's got all the attributes to win more good races.

shaped well with a strong finish from much further back than the other principals, the longer trip clearly right up his street; held up, crept closer from fourteenth, not fluent 2 out, stayed on strongly from last, went second final ½f; his quirks mean he comes with obvious risks but he's just 2 starts into life with his outstanding trainer and could well be primed to win a big pot.

shaped as if still in good form, tackling a better class of rival over a longer trip than before, also going a rather circuitous route; raced wide, mid-division, mistake first, in touch circuit out, pushed along 4 out, no extra from home turn; there should be more handicap chases in him.

A good-quality renewal of this valuble staying handicap and the form has a solid look, the winner adding to his success in last season's Welsh National and leading home in second and third one not long with Willie Mullins and a previous winner of the race, the fourth, fifth and sixth all also close to form and showing enough to think they'll be of interest soon; the pace was good but only the second made major headway from behind.

IWILLDOIT lacked nothing in sharpness after more than a year off and proved better than ever as he added a second big staying prize to his portfolio, as at Chepstow completing the task with aplomb; in touch, jumped well, travelled well, jumped on 2 out, in command final 1f, driven out; he's got all the attributes to win more good races.
