These were all of a similar standing over hurdles, but The Glancing Queen has taken best to chasing at this early stage and was always going well en route to a comfortable success.

THE GLANCING QUEEN (IRE) had to give weight away all round courtesy of her win at this level on her chasing debut but had little trouble successfully doing so, cementing a really positive start over fences, probably at least as good over this trip as around 2m; chased leaders, jumped soundly and travelled well, went second home turn, produced to lead 2 out, drew clear flat, eased near finish; open to further improvement, she's now in the mix for some of the better novice chases against the geldings with her sex allowance, though the Mares' Chase at Cheltenham is presumably a target, too.

BARBADOS BLUE (IRE) put her relative experience of 2 chase starts - and a sound technique - to good use, running at least as well as when winning at Fakenham, no match only for an exciting one; led, pressed on 3 out, headed next, left behind by winner latter stages.

FARNE (IRE) after 9 months off, seemed to match her hurdles form at the first attempt chasing, doing comfortably best of the trio held up; patiently ridden, not fluent first, crept closer on inner twelfth, shaken up home turn, stayed on; entitled to progress.

CLONDAW CAITLIN (IRE) ran respectably, just bumping into some quicker mares, this slight drop in trip not looking in her favour, likely to do best as a stayer these days; close up, shaken up 3 out, one paced straight.

KAPARD easy to back, couldn't match the form of her chasing debut over this longer trip, though she's well worth another chance, a jumping blemish at a most inopportune time doing for her; mid-field, lost place when bad mistake 4 out, no threat after; should still improve.

EMMAS JOY (IRE) attracted support but possibly still needed this run, again shaping like she retains a lot of her ability; held up, effort 3 out, not quicken next; remains capable of better, while she could probably do with her sights lowering slightly for the time being.

ALLAVINA (IRE) was backed at long odds but shaped as if in need of the experience sent chasing after 8 months off; held up, jumped right third, fourth, lost ground sixth, pecked 5 out, brief headway out wide early in straight, not sustain effort; should do better.

LITTLE RIVER BAY (IRE) saw her very good start over fences derailed, coming to grief with the second of 2 almighty errors; in touch, bad mistake third, not fluent eleventh, unseated rider next.
