produced a career best to capitalise on a rescheduled race (hadn't been declared at Sandown the previous week), turning in a dominant display of front running, her jumping also very slick bar one mistake; helped force pace, went with enthusiasm, pressed on before 4 out, drew clear after 2 out (usual 3 out), hit last (usual 2 out), driven out; she's a valuable commodity now and will surely win more good races.

proved to be a disappointment, more to it than that she was conceding weight all round (had beaten the runner-up at Haydock 2 runs back); in touch, struggling after 2 out (usual 3 out).

Non Runners: RAYNA'S WORLD (IRE). Hurdles: 8. Race Distance Adjustment: -41 yds

Winning Owner: Julian Howl & Ian Tyrrell

Time: 4m 49.3s Closing Sectional: (4.35f): 67.10s (98.7%)

What should have been the final flight in the home straight was omitted due to the state of the ground

A race salvaged from Sandown the previous week, only 2 of the originally declared runners in the field a second time, and neither cracked the first 3, though it's up-to-scratch stuff among the principals, the winner dominating from halfway and the form of a well-run race not in any doubt.

EMMAS JOY (IRE) produced a career best to capitalise on a rescheduled race (hadn't been declared at Sandown the previous week), turning in a dominant display of front running, her jumping also very slick bar one mistake; helped force pace, went with enthusiasm, pressed on before 4 out, drew clear after 2 out (usual 3 out), hit last (usual 2 out), driven out; she's a valuable commodity now and will surely win more good races.

VIENNA COURT (IRE) ran creditably up in grade, seeing out the longer trip; held up, mistake first, headway before 2 out (usual 3 out), pushed along before last (usual 2 out), kept on.

DESARAY GIRL (FR) proved to be a disappointment, more to it than that she was conceding weight all round (had beaten the runner-up at Haydock 2 runs back); in touch, struggling after 2 out (usual 3 out).

FONTAINE COLLONGES (FR) a bumper winner recently, was in too deep for her hurdling debut but will do better with her sights lowered; held up, struggling end of back straight.

DEJA VUE (IRE) ran poorly for no obvious reason; helped force pace, chased leader from circuit out, pushed along before 3 out, weakened home turn.
