upped in trip, found improvement to follow up his win at Southwell, a daring/chancey run up the inside after the last rewarded as he wriggled through, the stewards interpreting the interference to the placed horses as accidental, though he might well have won more convincingly - and in a more conventional manner - had he not been down on his nose 2 out; held up, travelled well, steady headway end of back straight, ridden home turn, blundered 2 out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, kept on well; he's clearly in rare heart.

much less exposed than the rest, at least over hurdles, ran well on his handicap debut, though having looked poised to strike for much of the straight he only went past the leader once that rival had himself been headed; waited with, travelled well, shaken up leaving back straight, tracked pace 3 out, ridden after next, kept on run-in; he's more interesting than most of these, despite slight reservations about his finishing effort.

ran well, looking suited by the emphasis on stamina under the conditions, every chance he'd have won had the winner not wriggled through; waited with, effort after 4 out, led next, stuck on well, headed and bumped final 100 yds.

All 13 ran. Hurdles: 12. Race Distance Adjustment: +154 yds

Winning Owner: The FV Partnership

Time: 5m 49.6s Closing Sectional: (3.25f): 47.20s (100.2%)

Overrounds: Industry SP 118%, Betfair SP 99.4%

An open-looking handicap that produced a tight finish, the ride on the winner daring or fortuitous, depending on your outlook, most of the field having been around a while, only 2 runners younger than 7, a majority in cheekpieces as well, though several of the younger/less exposed runners fought out the finish, which encourages a fairly positive view; a group of 4 raced clear, going too fast for their own good.

FLEETING VISIT upped in trip, found improvement to follow up his win at Southwell, a daring/chancey run up the inside after the last rewarded as he wriggled through, the stewards interpreting the interference to the placed horses as accidental, though he might well have won more convincingly - and in a more conventional manner - had he not been down on his nose 2 out; held up, travelled well, steady headway end of back straight, ridden home turn, blundered 2 out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, kept on well; he's clearly in rare heart.
