whose form last time is proving strong, got off the mark in this sphere with cheekpieces back on after 8 weeks off, left with a simpler task than seemed likely beforehand but for his part doing everything right; close up, jumped well in main, led fifth, clear 3 out, coasted in; open to further improvement as a chaser, though it remains to be seen what the handicapper makes of this hard-to-assess form.

useful over hurdles and very lightly raced, ran below that level sent chasing after 7 months off, easy to back just before the off and never looking that comfortable; in touch, not always fluent, second 5 out, left behind by winner from next, not persevered with from 3 out; she's capable of better but evidently hasn't been the easiest to train.

(by Ask: fourth foal: dam (h91) 2m hurdle winner) a maiden pointer, showed a bit with a tongue strap on for Rules debut, keeping up until 5 out, though he won't be of any interest this side of low-grade handicaps.

upped in trip and in a refitted hood, ran badly, perhaps doing himself some damage with an early blunder; soon led, lost place when clouted fifth, last when slow next, tailed off soon after seventh, pulled up.

All 4 ran. Fences: 15. Race Distance Adjustment: +8 yds

Winning Owner: Brocade Racing

Time: 5m 17.8s Closing Sectional: (2.60f): 40.10s (103.0%)

Three of the 4 could be given some sort of chance but only the winner put up a convincing effort from start to finish so this clearly wasn't the maiden it might've been, the form hard to weigh up and best rated cautiously for the time being.

TIDAL FLOW whose form last time is proving strong, got off the mark in this sphere with cheekpieces back on after 8 weeks off, left with a simpler task than seemed likely beforehand but for his part doing everything right; close up, jumped well in main, led fifth, clear 3 out, coasted in; open to further improvement as a chaser, though it remains to be seen what the handicapper makes of this hard-to-assess form.
