resumed her progress after 6 weeks off, running out a decisive winner having been kept closer up than on her last 2 starts; tracked pace, led when not fluent 2 out, shaken up before last, kept up to work; she's still not fully exposed at 2m and should give a good account in the Galway Hurdle.

Plenty of credit goes to the first 2 - the winner clearly progressive - but most underperformed, including a 5-strong McManus contingent headed by Champion Hurdle fourth Saint Roi.

SANTA ROSSA (IRE) resumed her progress after 6 weeks off, running out a decisive winner having been kept closer up than on her last 2 starts; tracked pace, led when not fluent 2 out, shaken up before last, kept up to work; she's still not fully exposed at 2m and should give a good account in the Galway Hurdle.

FELIX DESJY (FR) wasn't disgraced after 9 weeks off, this sharper track probably not in his favour; mid-field, some headway pushed along after 3 out, one paced from 2 out.

SHEWEARSITWELL (IRE) made plenty of appeal at the weights but underperformed back down in trip; chased leaders, shaken up home turn, third when not fluent last, no extra.

A WAVE OF THE SEA (IRE) back over hurdles and without his usual headgear, was presumably having a pipe-opener after 4 months off; held up, headway when shaken up before home turn, untidy 2 out, kept on, never landed a blow.
