ran well in a Group 2 at Leopardstown last time and built on that performance to land a first pattern-race success, better placed than the runner-up in a steadily-run affair, idling and merely closed down late with the race already in safe keeping; never far away, travelled smoothly, edged ahead 2f out, asserted final 1f.

looked rusty in a change of headgear after 6 months off, lightly raced for his age, his previous campaigns having finished no later than May; slowly into stride, waited with, driven 3f out, not clear run approaching final 1f, plugged on, never on terms.
