progressed again to overcome the rise in class, better placed than most the way things went but a worthy winner all the same; close up, jumped on 2 out, joined briefly last, found extra, well positioned; very much a chaser in the making, he holds an entry in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham.

shaped well after 10 months off, the experience gained here unlikely to be lost on him; mid-division, travelled best, not fluent 3 out, untidy next, met some trouble between last 2, stayed on, would have benefited from a stronger pace; open to further improvement.

Not a particularly strong Grade 3 novice hurdle, the first 3 posting borderline useful efforts in a race run at a stop-start gallop; The Goffer was a worthy winner on the day but the runner-up looks the one to take out of it.

THE GOFFER (IRE) progressed again to overcome the rise in class, better placed than most the way things went but a worthy winner all the same; close up, jumped on 2 out, joined briefly last, found extra, well positioned; very much a chaser in the making, he holds an entry in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham.
