was very well backed and went one better than on his first 2 starts this season, improving in the process and seeing it out in good style (likely to stay 2¾m); handy, led on bridle end of back straight, ridden approaching 2 out, kept on well; capable of following up and he looks the sort to make a chaser in time.

has been allotted a fair-looking opening mark and ran well back down in trip, unlikely that he'll bump into one as progressive as Irish Hill next time; raced wide, mid-field, took closer order sixth, ridden home turn, effort when untidy 2 out, hung right approaching last, kept on, pulled clear of remainder; will remain of plenty of interest.
