wasted no time getting back on track, seeing things out really well trying a new trip; chased leaders, led briefly after seventh, not fluent twelfth, ridden early in straight, challenged last, hung right (bumped rival), stayed on to lead close home; still unexposed as a chaser, as promises to stay even further on this evidence.

was strong in the betting and returned to form, nabbed only late on by an improver in receipt of 24 lbs; typically jumped well, led until seventh, led again before next, ridden early in straight, tackled last, headed when bumped close home (clear of remainder); he looks the type to do well if taking in the Scottish Grand National, having shaped well in the Welsh version earlier this season.
