whose rider is good value for his claim, resumed progress/winning ways back from 13 weeks off; in touch, pushed along before 2 out, led soon after last 2, stayed on well; he remains unexposed, will stay beyond 17f, and seems sure to go well again.

making handicap debut, produced best effort to date without finding all the improvement his opening mark demands; mid-division, took keen hold, in touch 3 out, effort next, one paced; he's still potentially well treated judged on his Flat form and a really well-run race in a big field might bring out the very best in him, especially on a more galloping track.

looked a little rusty going without usual headgear after 3 months off yet ran well on form; mid-division, went in snatches, lost place circuit out, rallied 3 out, one paced straight; there'll be much weaker handicaps for him to contest from this sort of mark.

probably needed the run in first-time tongue strap after 3 months off, back over hurdles for the first time in nearly 3 years; mid-division, shaken up 3 out, not quicken, made little impression; it's early days with him for this stable and it'll be a surprise if they don't get him back firing at some point.

A better handicap than most run at the track and with the top 3 in the betting filling the places it's got the look of form to view positively; the pace was fair.
