produced a career best to resume winning ways switched to fibresand, a winter campaign having proven really productive for him, proving his flexibility by running well at 4 different all-weather tracks in the process, which opens up plenty of options looking forward; held up, headway out wide 2f out, led over 1f out, kept on well, just held on.

Not the strongest of races for the grade in terms of depth but the winner is better than ever and produced a useful display to cling on from one having an excellent winter so the result makes sense and the pace was a sound one.

GABRIAL THE DEVIL (IRE) was meeting the runner-up on 5 lb better terms than for his narrow defeat here last time but ran just respectably 5 days on; prominent, challenged 2f out, no extra last ½f.

TAWNY PORT wasn't at his best back up in trip after just 5 days off; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, hung left, not quicken.
