completed the hat-trick hiked again in grade, doing no more than needed in a bunched finish, which will help when it comes to the handicapper's reassessment of him; in touch, effort entering straight, produced to lead soon after 2 out, lost momentum last, idled, always holding on; he's worth keeping on side.

whose stable is going well, ran right up to his best second time back, despite this hardly unfolding in his favour, not one for a sprint finish; mid-division, outpaced from 3 out, kept on well from next, closed all the way to the line, albeit with winner idling.

improved again, just not quite enough to see him home in front this time, albeit value for finishing a length or so closer; soon led, headed fourth, led again soon after sixth, headed again next, third circuit out, shaken up home turn, not fluent as race taking shape 2 out, rallied run-in.

presumably benefited from first-time blinkers as he ran much better than last time returned to Southwell; led until second, led again fourth, headed soon after sixth, led again next, joined briefly home turn, headed soon after 2 out, no extra run-in, this trip about as far as suits him.

found his race getting off on a similar footing to his last one but managed to get far more involved this time, just still too high in the weights above all aged 11; close up, jumped left first, chased leader eighth, upsides home turn, lost place 2 out.

retried in headgear back over hurdles, turned in a lacklustre display; raced off the pace, went in snatches, reminders after eighth, left behind entering straight.

A couple of non-runners weakened this somewhat but it still went the way of an improver, at the chief expense of a runner-up who'd filled the same position on his return and a third who'd already won twice this summer; the pace was steady for a long way, placing some emphasis on speed at the trip.

YES NO MAYBE SO (IRE) completed the hat-trick hiked again in grade, doing no more than needed in a bunched finish, which will help when it comes to the handicapper's reassessment of him; in touch, effort entering straight, produced to lead soon after 2 out, lost momentum last, idled, always holding on; he's worth keeping on side.
