making handicap/fibresand debut after 7 weeks off, showed much improved form to get off the mark; dwelt, in touch, pushed along over 3f out, took a while to pick up but kept on well from 2f out, leading final 100 yds; arguably aided by runner-up's lack of application but cost plenty as a 2-y-o and is the type to improve further as his stamina is drawn out.

All 7 ran.

Time: 1m 41.29s Closing Sectional: (3.00f): 38.00s (99.2%)

A maiden handicap that's unlikely to prove strong form, the runner-up's temperament under suspicion and the third on a harsh mark, but the winner improved all the same and has enough positives in his profile to suggest he can continue to go the right way.

AIYA (IRE) making handicap/fibresand debut after 7 weeks off, showed much improved form to get off the mark; dwelt, in touch, pushed along over 3f out, took a while to pick up but kept on well from 2f out, leading final 100 yds; arguably aided by runner-up's lack of application but cost plenty as a 2-y-o and is the type to improve further as his stamina is drawn out.
