after 2 poor efforts, returned to form from out of the blue, clearly retaining all his ability, perhaps even better than ever, the return to patient tactics a help on the night, as perhaps was making his effort wide on relatively better ground; in rear, ridden early in straight, headway 2f out, led approaching final 1f, kept on well, had bit in hand.

isn't yet looking the horse he once promised to be, despite his Group 1 entries, though the softest ground he's encountered and an overly-aggressive front-running ride offer some mitigation; led, travelled well, ridden over 2f out, hung right, headed approaching final 1f, one paced.

ran below the level he ran to last time, typically not looking entirely straightforward, gelding not seeming to have made him any more hearty; held up, not settle fully, effort over 3f out, challenged 2f out, carried head awkwardly, one paced.

couldn't even match the form he showed last time, very much on his toes beforehand and presumably just not himself, his proximity to the pace a side issue given how far out he was struggling; tracked pace, shaken up over 3f out, weakened 2f out, not persevered with once held.

A turn-up, hard to believe that the winner has suddenly improved 10 lb on anything he's done before, the likelihood that none of his rivals gave their running with Sangarius and Extra Elusive going off too hard, being brought significantly wider to make his challenge perhaps a further help.

EUCHEN GLEN after 2 poor efforts, returned to form from out of the blue, clearly retaining all his ability, perhaps even better than ever, the return to patient tactics a help on the night, as perhaps was making his effort wide on relatively better ground; in rear, ridden early in straight, headway 2f out, led approaching final 1f, kept on well, had bit in hand.

FOX TAL ran below the level he ran to last time, typically not looking entirely straightforward, gelding not seeming to have made him any more hearty; held up, not settle fully, effort over 3f out, challenged 2f out, carried head awkwardly, one paced.
