benefited from a change of tactics and showed improved form to gain a first success outside handicap company; awkward leaving stalls, soon recovered and dictated, quickened 2f out, drew clear; did this quite nicely, but very much had the run of things and will probably prove vulnerable next time.

wasn't in quite the same form switched from high-end handicaps, but ran respectably all the same, doing enough to suggest he has races in him at this level, perhaps the type who is ideally suited by a stronger gallop; chased leader, went with zest, pushed along under 2f out, left behind by winner final 1f; should continue to give a good account.

wasn't seen to best effect, but did enough to suggest he's back in form after a blip last time; slowly into stride, in rear, kept on, never landed a blow, had a hopeless task from position.

back down in trip, wasn't seen to best effect and is better judged on previous promise; in touch, not settle fully, pushed along around 2f out, weakened as early antics told, would have benefited from a stronger gallop; remains one to be interested in at this sort of level.

again ran below form and looks to have gone off the boil after a highly promising start to the campaign, the trip not obviously to blame this time, not going with his customary zest after a tardy start and never dangerous.
