has a generally progressive profile and was better than ever after 6 months off, though seen to maximum advantage under a good ride; dictated, kicked on after 3f out, shaken up under 2f out, kept on, had bit in hand; she'll presumably have the Sun Chariot as a target.

after 7 weeks off, wasn't in quite the same form as last time, though she stuck to her task and will likely be a contender for a repeat win in the Sun Chariot in the autumn; in touch, pushed along over 2f out, stayed on edged right approaching final 1f, took second last ½f.

couldn't repeat her win in this last summer, though she'd have run close to her best had she not been stopped in her run, a good case for the placings of second and third being reversed, despite the gap between them at the line; in touch, travelled well, effort 2f out, keeping on when badly hampered entering final 1f, kept on again close home, finished with running left.

was strong in the betting, down in grade, but just doesn't seem quite the filly she was as a 2-y-o, a change of rider failing to bring a better performance, better placed to tackle the winner than any of the others; prominent, shaken up over 3f out, not quicken over 1f out, no extra close home.

wasn't disgraced, plenty on under a penalty in a better Group 3, her usual tactics not so effective the way this unfolded; held up, effort over 2f out, still plenty to do approaching final 1f, kept on, nearest at the finish.

The trio that had contested a Group 1 last time out dominated the market in what looked an up-to-standard renewal of a race that tends to be a good Group 3, and they all made the frame, but it's likely none of them was at their best in another race that saw a well-judged ride from the front, the proximity of a few of those behind suggesting it's likely the winner has not had to find significant improvement to prevail.

MAAMORA (IRE) has a generally progressive profile and was better than ever after 6 months off, though seen to maximum advantage under a good ride; dictated, kicked on after 3f out, shaken up under 2f out, kept on, had bit in hand; she'll presumably have the Sun Chariot as a target.

LADY BOWTHORPE wasn't disgraced, plenty on under a penalty in a better Group 3, her usual tactics not so effective the way this unfolded; held up, effort over 2f out, still plenty to do approaching final 1f, kept on, nearest at the finish.
