fully confirmed the improvement shown in the Duchess of Cambridge, finally off the mark (beaten by Method on debut), still learning but well served by the extra 1f and nicely on top once she finally got to the front; tracked pace, shaken up early in straight, not quicken and ran green, rallied to lead last ½f, looked in control after, had bit in hand; will stay 1m; she could follow the 2017 winner Tajaanus and try to land the Sweet Solera, having already run well on the July course.

couldn't justify good support, but she didn't have the form of the winner in the book and ran well, upped considerably in grade, showing a willing attitude; led, shaken up over 2f out, kept on no room, headed last ½f, stuck to task; she'll progress as her stamina is further drawn out and will continue to give a good account.

built on her second in the Albany, suited by the step up in trip and looking rather more willing this time, no obvious tail flashing and sticking to her task from a bit further off the pace than ideal; held up, not settle fully, shaken up under 3f out, good progress after, disputed second 1f out, stuck to task.

seemed to excel herself back up in class, though the form of her win hasn't otherwise been tested and it may prove that that is better than it looked at the time, definitely worth the benefit of the doubt over this effort for now; in touch, travelled well, effort 2f out, threatened over 1f out, one paced.

failed to improve in this better company, though she got a bit upset in the stalls and it may be that experience affected her performance, probably worth forgiving this; slowly into stride, held up, shaken up 3f out, ran green, not quicken.

came up short in this higher grade, most of it her own doing, as she looked far from straightforward, giving her rider a torrid time; soon steadied, pulled hard, ridden over 3f out, hung badly right approaching final 1f, one paced.

One of the stronger recent runnings of a listed race that isn't always of much consequence, the winner and third here both placed previously at a higher level, the runner-up unbeaten in 2 starts, the trio clear after the pace lifted in the straight.

FEV ROVER (IRE) fully confirmed the improvement shown in the Duchess of Cambridge, finally off the mark (beaten by Method on debut), still learning but well served by the extra 1f and nicely on top once she finally got to the front; tracked pace, shaken up early in straight, not quicken and ran green, rallied to lead last ½f, looked in control after, had bit in hand; will stay 1m; she could follow the 2017 winner Tajaanus and try to land the Sweet Solera, having already run well on the July course.
