proved at least as good as ever, though he delayed the start by his antics beforehand, proving difficult to get to post, showing no sign of temperament in the race itself and taking advantage of the favourite being off his game; held up, headway 3f out, led over 1f out, kept on well; he'll presumably have a campaign at this sort of trip, having shown his effectiveness over it, a trip to Royal Ascot and the Prince of Wales's Stakes an option, a fair bit more needed for that.

stood out on his best efforts, but wasn't able to reproduce that level, on much firmer going than last time; tracked pace, took keen hold, led 3f out, headed over 1f out, not quicken; connections may decide to persevere on turf but it may be more prudent to draw stumps and plan longer term, perhaps around the Breeders' Cup or Dubai.

ran respectably, this a tougher race than the one he won on reappearance; awkward start, held up, effort straight, not quicken 3f out, edged right, stayed on final 1f.

was below form after 7 months off, rather late in his career to be trying a 2f longer trip, the ground also probably firmer than he ideally wants; in rear, effort 3f out, one paced.

gelded since last seen, ran respectably, albeit without getting competitive, after 8 months off; in touch, effort over 3f out, not quicken; he looks to retain his ability, at least.

who sweated up beforehand, was well held after 10 months off, likely to have used up too much energy in the preliminaries; led, took keen hold, hung right straight, headed 3f out, weakened soon after; he'd been progressive last summer and his next run should give a better idea of whether he can continue that this time round.

Matterhorn looked the one to beat in a race rather lacking depth, but he wasn't at his best, allowing Regal Reality to give his trainer yet another win in this race, despite looking more likely to refuse to race as he held up the start with a tantrum in the preliminaries, the trio reappearing failing to figure, the form lacking depth all in all.

REGAL REALITY proved at least as good as ever, though he delayed the start by his antics beforehand, proving difficult to get to post, showing no sign of temperament in the race itself and taking advantage of the favourite being off his game; held up, headway 3f out, led over 1f out, kept on well; he'll presumably have a campaign at this sort of trip, having shown his effectiveness over it, a trip to Royal Ascot and the Prince of Wales's Stakes an option, a fair bit more needed for that.
