Much the same coming out as going in, Wadilsafa already belonging in better company, though tactics influenced other finishing positions in some way, Hathal picking up the pieces late from the rear whereas Archetype paid the price for forcing things.

WADILSAFA had the form to go straight (back) into Group company following such a meaty performance in a York handicap, but this serves him well in the context of his developement as well as his campaign, a restart point after the stable's down time, and he completed the job clinically, the end margin a little unflattering on him, as he had full control through the last 1f and the second closed only late; whatever the plan for the back-end, he should make a high-class 4-y-o, readier then for another try at 10f.

HATHAL (USA) little sign of it from his reappearance but got back to almost where he formerly was for William Haggas on this second run after a year out, though it needs taking with a pinch of salt, looking to be going nowhere out the back 2f out, before gathering momentum that got him flatteringly close to the winner at the line.

RED STARLIGHT underlined all of her progressive work in handicaps this season, graduating with a place, stopping short of challenging but sticking to it from mid-field; it should pay to keep her in training as a 4-y-o.

HORS DE COMBAT still maintaining his form, if not quite at the top line, and it's pretty clear why, his temperamental side resurfacing, the same here as at York, looking hesitant the more he was pressured, after creeping closer 2f out.

ARCHETYPE (FR) hasn't got full reward for a season in which he's hit his 110 mark with regularity, not his fault he didn't here, the tactics slightly overdone, getting into a bit of a battle with Flying North (dropped away to last), kicking on over 2f out, nothing left once overtaken by the winner 1f out.

QUEEN OF TIME faced a tall order in a listed race that involved males this time, little impression, after racing in the last pair alongside the eventual runner-up, who proved that a patient ride was no bad thing, no such response by Queen of Time.

ZHUI FENG (IRE) wasn't asked to lead this time, but it didn't help him, heading up the main group but folding 1f out.

THE EMPEROR WITHIN (FR) great strides this term but flying too high at this level, feeling the pinch from halfway.

FLYING NORTH out of her depth, regardless that she went off hard, dropping away over 2f out.
