back over hurdles, proved at least as good as ever in a race that went his way, probably seen to maximum effect having bided his time well off a strong pace; raced well off the pace, steady headway from 3 out, led under pressure before last, driven out; circumstances won't be so favourable next time.

was suited by the longer trip and shaped well, going down fighting after cutting out a strong pace; made running, effort 2 out, headed before last, kept on; she'll probably need a bit of time to recover but remains one to be inerested in.

all the rage in the betting making handicap debut, failed to progress any more but wasn't seen to best effect racing closer to the strong pace than ideal, and is well worth another chance from what looks a lenient mark; prominent, took keen hold, every chance when pushed along 2 out, one paced from last.

back down in trip for handicap debut, ran respectably despite racing closer to the pace than ideal; in touch, not fluent 4 out, pushed along before 2 out, one paced; he remains unexposed and going back to 3m will probably do him no harm.

failed to build on the promise of last run but showed up okay up to a point and isn't one to dismiss totally as his mark falls further, with a race that's less of a test of stamina likely to be in his favour; mid-division, hit fourth, headway 4 out, shaken up next, weakened.

An interesting race on paper but the winner was the most exposed of the lot and he was seen to advantage in sitting well off a strong pace contested by the better-fancied horses.
