A 2-y-o minor event that saw a couple of useful types pull clear, the winner's greater professionalism arguably making the difference.

BOLT ACTION (IRE) back up to a more suitable trip and eased slightly in grade, and wasted no time getting back on the up; in touch, headway 2f out, produced to lead 1f out, kept going well; this was just his third start beyond 5f and there could be more to come, especially while his yard remains in such good form.

BAKEEL on his third trainer in just 5 starts (left Kevin Philippart De Foy since last seen 6 weeks earlier), matched previous form; prominent, pushed along under 3f out, every chance over 1f out, left behind by principals final 1f.

LEGEND OF XANADU was lit up by first-time visor and shaped as if back in form; soon led, not settle fully, headed 1f out, no extra.

FLAG FLYING again sent off as one of the market leaders, proved to be a disappointment; dwelt, waited with, ridden halfway, left behind from 2f out.
