had sights lowered after well held in a listed event last time, back on firmer ground too, and despite her rider putting up 1 lb overweight she resumed her progress to come out on top; tracked pace, travelled well, led entering final 1f, ridden out; she was well positioned here but may do better still nevertheless and should stay 1½m.

bounced back to form, proving that she wasn't flattered by her fourth in a minor event at Ascot in April, though was seen to maximum effect under a change of tactics; led, went with enthusiasm, headed entering final 1f, kept on, had the run of the race.

produced her best effort to date and is a pretty likeable filly, but she'll need even more to defy this mark, which is 5 lb higher than for her reappearance win; chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, kept on, better placed than most.

has been quite harshly dealt with, raised 9 lb for her Goodwood win, but matched the form she'd shown there and deserves extra credit on the day; held up, switched 3f out, best work finish from further back than ideal and would have benefited from a stronger gallop; she's capable of better still and is worth a try at 1½m.

shaped as if still in good form, worth extra credit over the bare result on the day; held up, headway when switched over 1f out, edged right, no extra late on as she seemed to pay the price for a big move into contention; her recent Newbury second is working out and she should remain competitive.

A modestly-run affair in which a handy position was an advantage, the first 3 better placed than the next 3 home, so it's not entirely solid form; the winner is lightly raced and improving, however.

MAYBELATER had sights lowered after well held in a listed event last time, back on firmer ground too, and despite her rider putting up 1 lb overweight she resumed her progress to come out on top; tracked pace, travelled well, led entering final 1f, ridden out; she was well positioned here but may do better still nevertheless and should stay 1½m.

HAALAN bounced back to form, proving that she wasn't flattered by her fourth in a minor event at Ascot in April, though was seen to maximum effect under a change of tactics; led, went with enthusiasm, headed entering final 1f, kept on, had the run of the race.

PALERMA produced her best effort to date and is a pretty likeable filly, but she'll need even more to defy this mark, which is 5 lb higher than for her reappearance win; chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, kept on, better placed than most.

SWEET SELECTION has been quite harshly dealt with, raised 9 lb for her Goodwood win, but matched the form she'd shown there and deserves extra credit on the day; held up, switched 3f out, best work finish from further back than ideal and would have benefited from a stronger gallop; she's capable of better still and is worth a try at 1½m.

STOCKHILL DIVA shaped as if still in good form, worth extra credit over the bare result on the day; held up, headway when switched over 1f out, edged right, no extra late on as she seemed to pay the price for a big move into contention; her recent Newbury second is working out and she should remain competitive.

PUZZLE TIME remains in good form, just not seen to best effect; awkward leaving stalls, headway under pressure over 2f out, kept on, never on terms, disadvantaged by the run of the race.

VANISHING disappointed on the back of 2 good efforts in handicap company; mid-division, chased leaders 2f out, left behind final 1f.

LISAMOUR (IRE) has gone backwards from reappearance, below form again, readily seen off after being well placed; chased leader, weakened over 1f out.
