has plenty to recommend him and brought every bit of his useful handicap form to graded level in following up, blessed with plenty of scope and attacking his fences; forced pace, jumped boldly, joined crossing last 2, found extra, proved game; he'll continue to run well.

got back much closer to the pick of last season's form on the back of a breakthrough win, just denied after the other 2 principals had travelled better; chased leader until sixth, ridden soon after 4 out, rallied next, challenged last, kept on well, edged out; he's had only one try at 2½m but is worth another.

shaped as if back from 9 weeks off still in good form, his absence perhaps to blame for his tame finishing effort, after Exit Poll had ensured little hiding place through the final 4f or so; in touch, chased leader from sixth, upsides 2 out, faltered approaching last.

was flying too high in this grade so soon but remains with some potential for calmer waters; patiently ridden, shaken up after fifth, struggling when blundered 3 out.

Still a 'summer feel' to the line-up, with all 5 having been in action in the calmer months and no big guns fired in the division as yet, though that isn't to suggest the front pair aren't useful, comments that also apply to a third who'd looked a much bigger player 2 out.

EXIT POLL (IRE) has plenty to recommend him and brought every bit of his useful handicap form to graded level in following up, blessed with plenty of scope and attacking his fences; forced pace, jumped boldly, joined crossing last 2, found extra, proved game; he'll continue to run well.
