strong in the betting, goes from strength to strength and ends the season with 3 wins and a second from his last 4 starts, this one under an enterprising ride that strung the field out before halfway; led, travelled fluently, quickened after 4f, edged right from over 1f out, in command inside final 1f, ridden out; as an enthusiastic prominent racer he could make into a useful juvenile hurdler should connections want to go down that route, while he'll still have mileage in him on the Flat next year, too.

strong in the betting, couldn't take advantage of dipping in grade, by no means a bad run but an element of him going through the motions all the same, and he still hasn't won since he was 2; handy, bit outpaced over 3f out, took second final 1f, plugged on; perhaps he could do with some headgear back on to sharpen him up.

back on softer ground, couldn't build on his Ayr run after a further 7 weeks off; awkward leaving stalls, held up, not settle fully, shaken up over 3f out, hung left 1f out, never landed a blow; things haven't gone his way since his highly encouraging reappearance, but he'll reappear as a 4-y-o on a potentially very handy mark.

A borderline useful handicap controlled by the winning rider to aplomb, catching a few out when he quickened the tempo so far out and always seeming to have matters in hand in the straight.
